As per Damon‘s recommendation, I ventured further afield for dinner last night – to all the way across the street – for a plate of chiên sườn xối mỡ. Half a rack of deep-fried back ribs on a bed of fried rice, served with a nice healthy salad. All for $1.35.

How many “ribs” are concealed, or congealed, under that sauce? The three slices of tomato on a piece of lettuce would be that much, or more on a plate, in the “developed” countries.
How was/were the rib(s)?
Whose ribs were they? Poor baby!
Noah, in about 1995, you made the best ribs I ever had in VN… You set up a mini-restaurant in the courtyard of the house you shared with Kirk. Them was good ribs. While the ones pictured here don’t look nearly as tasty, I’m relieved to see that $1.35 can still buy a balanced meal in the TP….
