A clever new vanity domain. A new digital camera. Internet access everywhere, including the hour a day I spend on the ferry from Lamma to Hong Kong and back. Gotta do something with all this. Yes, it’s time to finally join the twentieth century.

Dear Noah and Trinh: Congratulations on the soon to be born baby. It is so nice that you’re doing this blog so we can all learn with you and about you. About that Japanese snack bag illustrated with a jack-o-latern head topped with a buddha-like headgear, it reminds me that all the religions of this world except one have common themes: immortality of the soul, some political or social philosophy, glorification of men, nationalism, a clergy class, to name a few. “Babylon the Great” reminiscent of ancient Babylon, a smorgasbord of such religious thinking and then some, is pictured as a harlot riding a 7 headed wild beast that will soon kill and consume its rider. The 7 headed wild beast represents world powers. Find out how we’re all involved. The Reference is Revelation chapter 17. Keep the blog going. Mom and I love it and you both. From Miriam and Susan in Coney Island.
Hi Noah–I am your cousin–daughter of Bernice and Leo Ginsburg–I was speaking to Susan and she told me @ your website, etc. so I wanted to contact you! I don’t know if you remember, but you so kindly took my parents around San Francisco — probably 25 years ago!! They thought you were absolutely wonderful.
Unfortunately, they are both deceased now, but I know they’d both appreciate my getting in touch.
I live in Atlanta, GA with my husband, Ted, 13-year-old daughter, Ellie and our poodle, Jasmine.
You and your family are gorgeous and it looks like you have quite the exotic, exciting life. Your website is amazing!
I am a freelance writer and my husband is in real estate (a bad “state” at the moment, I’m sure you’ve heard about the situation in the U.S. now).
Our daughter is in 8th grade and is deeply involved in middle school activities (and some study as well).
What is your email address so I can send you a photo. Mine is t.blocker@comcast.net–Well, it has been fun browsing your website–I would love to hear from you. Robin
Hello Noah:
I don’t know if you recall meeting us in Bangladesh or not. This was a long time ago, in 1992. We were there to visit Maung’s family in the south, Col. Maung Kyaw Oo. I recently got in touch with your father & mother to inform them that maung’s mother had passed away in June. Your father had then given me your blog details. I thought that it would be nice to drop you a line.
I can be reached at lynnpmin@hotmail.com (or gmail.com), I also have a facebook profile, just search for my name. I have a lot of photos posted. You can see our two kids there, Sanda (13 1/2) & Mia (almost 9). We also have two cats: Bella & ZOE!!!!
You have a beautiful daughter & we enjoyed seeing her photos. We are very happy for you. Hoping to meet up with you & your family one day, in Asia or the US. All the best, Lynn & Maung Min
Noah –
We met up at the hostel on Achill Island and hung out for a few days.
Are you by any chance the Noah Potkin that was bopping around Ireland on a fold-up bike in the summer of 1992? From Berkeley? Your name suddenly popped into my head so I did a search. I was the long-haired guy from Washington cycling around on a real bike.
If you’re the wrong guy, my apologies.
Best,
Rick
