Yesterday, Vietnam beat Cambodia to advance to the semifinals. This is the scene directly outside my bedroom window, looking down on Tran Phu street at midnight last night. I was finally able to get to sleep around two o’clock, but awakened before six o’clock this morning by a marching brass funeral band.

I dropped the Honda off at the paint shop this afternoon, bringing closer its transformation into a Press Cub, a model sold in Japan specifically for early-morning newspaper delivery. It’s being painted Nissan Yellowish Green Pearl Metallic, and will be ready on Wednesday to begin reassembly. More photos on Facebook.
